Sup peeps? It's a lovely 80 degrees here in Tulsa this morning, and it's supposed to stay like this all week! I'm seeing a golf game or two in my future this week! Things are finally settling down and life is pseudo back to normal today after a weekend of total chaos. However, I could still very easily stay in bed and sleep for the rest of the ( Read more... )

The months of planning paid off. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception that went off without a hitch. The two of you looked remarkable, to say the least.

I do know what you mean about dreaming about equality but knowing in your heart what it is really all about.

congrats again to one of the best looking couples I've met.

Thanks bud. You and Candy make a pretty good pair yourselves. She's a sweetheart...and a hot one at that! I agree, it's what's in your heart that matters, but at the same time I can't help but remember in the back of my mind that it's not "legal". Canada has it going on! Maybe I should become Canadian....eh?

oh hayl yeah. Candy is a hawt babe and I'm one lucky f*cker. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up from this dream *grin*

You know the two of you can do things to make it more legal. Designating each other power of attorney and similar things. It sucks to have to take these extra steps and it sucks even more that hetero folks don't even have to think about those kinds of things.

I too, believe that soon it will be happening. Vote democratic this election and we will be one step closer.

Oh yeah, definitely a democrat here! I give Maria shit for voting for the burning Bush...what the fuck was she thinking??? We are going to do the power of attorney thing, wills, etc. and also I am looking into a name change. I don't want to totally lose my last name, even tho it is my ex-husbands, because of my kids. And, it would be dumb for her to take my last name since it's the ex's name...so, I'm going to hyphenate it Schultz-Bellenger. Damn, that's a long ass name!

MAZEL TOV!!! May you both have many, many years of happiness and joy...and may the United States catch up to Canada when it comes to recognizing that marriage has nothing to do with gender.

apparently if you get ss benefits they'll recognize you "unofficially" as married. on my papers i got yesterday it stated that i was entitled to ssi benefits as a spouse. it'll probably be the only time in the near future that it'll be even remotely close to official, but it still made me squeal with delight.

ps: did you post your pics yet? i didn't find them, but i found everyone else's.
