kitty blanket

My kitty Nemo was very sick last week, so he spent a lot of time sleeping (and staying overnight at the vet).  I had given him a soft piece of fleece to sleep on, but he soiled it.  So I gave him another piece to take to the vet for his overnight stay, and he soiled that too.  Plus they were both really gaudy and bright (because I'd been saving ( Read more... )

I LOVE the picture of him sneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaking up on it. :-D

Obviously the blankies are a hit!

Furthermore, I am jealous that your floor is so shiny and nice. I have the same red oak, but the finish is no longer shiny. *cry*

Poor blankie never knew what hit it! He's a stealthcat!!! It was really funny to watch the cats reacting when I put it on the floor, because Gianni immediately walked over and sat on it, which is his usual reaction. But Nemo was verrrrrry very cautious. After all, any new item introduced into his world at this point might be a TRAP, to force medicine down his throat or to whisk him off to the vet! Gianni had already lost interest and walked away while Nemo was still stalking it from afar when I took that picture.

(One of Gianni's hobbies is sitting on things. I once bought a bottle of upholstery spray that would supposedly keep pets off furniture. So before using it, I did a test-spray all over a dishcloth and set it on the floor to see how they would react. Gianni immediately sat on it. I returned the spray for a refund.)

Aww, well I did just have a big rug down on the floor for half a year, so that protects the shiny. But also, I think my landlaird just re-shined it before I moved in 3 years ago. He did something to it.

The cats look very happy on their blankets. I've only ever had one cat who liked playing 'mouse-under-the-blankets' and I miss it (and her): I wonder if I can request it when we finally crack and get a cat?

Aww! You'll have to take a blanket with you and test it out on all the potential kitties!

I take back what I said about the thickness of my blankets, though. *licks her bloody fingers*

Those pictures are so sweet! And I'm glad your kitty is doing so much better after all your worrying last week.

That's a genius idea. Genius.

And your cats are adorable. Which makes me wonder why I find other people's cats sweet and think of my own as demonic, but there you are. Awwww.

Haha, well they're definitely demonic at times too. That's the nature of cats.
