I'm beginning to think that quitting your job is a little like getting to attend your own funeral -- you get to hear all the nice things people have to say about you before you leave.

Yeah, we've had a lot of 'people are leaving' parties lately. Our departing director commented on how uncomfortable it was to hear everyone's perceptions of her. Of course, that was probably more so because a few of us were saying, "I was intimidated by you, but once I got over that, you were awesome!" ;)

Anyway, I hope you're hearing lots of nice things about yourself, but no so much that you feel guilty about leaving. I can't imagine going on vacation right before a move. Good luck with all of it!
