I have another random question for you - we did our front "porch" and I was trying to find some plants that are colorful and will last in direct sunlight - there is no shade in our front yard. Do you have any suggestions? Also easy to maintain as I tend to kill most everything, though i'll try extra hard on these :)

But for something a little less specific, head right for the center of your local garden center. Anything not under the canopy grows in full sunlight and is accustomed to only occasional watering, since they won't fall under the sprinkler system most centers have. Just pick the colours and textures you actually like and stick 'em on the porch.
