I joined Netflix because, honestly, there are tons of movies I just don't get to see, whether they're good or not, and I have no love for Blockbuster. I love netflix! It's one thing I don't regret joining because I just don't have enough free time to go see every movie I want to see. I like the fact that you can add movies to your queue that haven't even been released yet.

I like netflix-type services because it allows me to keep them for longer than one night, or three nights, and I need that to get around to watching them. I've seen so much more than I would have if I'd just relied on going to the video shop. Plus, they have such a wide selection, as you say. They often have quite surprising obscure things, and they're also bloody fantastic for TV shows.
