Last Tango In Halifax S3E6 (and whole series!) Discussion

Feb 01, 2015 11:55

Oh Gary, Gary, Gary....

You utter knob.

It's going to be interesting to see how this one resolves itself - and also to see a bit more of Felicity and her and Gary's two daughters...

But the big question of course is... Will Gillian ever fix that tractor decide what - or rather who - she really wants?

And are we getting a fourth series?!

I hope he slightly redeems himself...I'll admit it's a hope based on shallow reasons... that he be a regular if there's a 4th season. I hope he gets a talking to, takes it on board, chills out and becomes a decent half brother who isn't so needy!

I may be viewing through Rupert-tinted glasses but I do think Gary is a genuinely nice bloke who's just massively insecure. He just needs a good talking to!

I agree he doesn't seem to be 'bad', but he is definitely suffering from chronic foot-in-mouth syndrome. Let's hope he can be cured, and be a generous but stable and non-needy person! (And a good uncle for Raf, half-brother for Gillian etc.)

We can only hope!!

Maybe if he paid off Harry's fine for trashing his boat!

According to Cultbox's synopsis for Episode 6 "With Celia’s encouragement, Alan takes the first step towards forgiving Gary." That's definitely encouraging.

It appears the tractor's still not fixed. Maybe Gary could buy her a new one as a wedding present?

You get the feeling he'd probably get a really posh yet terrible one...when she just wants a Massey Ferguson :)

Avoiding looking at all the other comments as I'm just a few minutes into the episode, but it was so fraught that I had to come here and wibble for a moment before going on! My goodness, RG did a complex acting scene when Alan accused him of being angry! I love all the little nonverbal tics he's put into this character. Underneath the overbearing drive and the manipulation is a decent person, not too far below the surface. So far, anyway!! And how much do I love Gillian?!

*breathe* Okay. On to watch more.

OMG, Gillian, stop waving that ax around! The line delivery on the word "normal"! OMG, are they actually having the new self-sabotage guy stroke a salami????? *dies*

And now Gillian has actually bonked herself in the forehead in frustration. I laughed out loud.

And Greg is SUCH a geeky fanboy. Pitter pat goes my heart. His t-shirt is hilarious.

When the wheel went flat, I considered commenting here that the only thing left is for it to start raining, but I would have been kidding. Oh, LTiH, only you could keep me riveted to the screen like this when I'm squirming!

Whooo! Awesome! All that sitcom slapstick set things up beautifully for the bombshell of what Robbie told Gillian! Yes, that went very serious, very quickly, and put an enormous chill in my heart! Wonderful TV.
