So, I had a death in the family this last weekend. My aunt's father, this was sad but he really had some health issues. No one says it no one has guts most of the time but I think he was looking forward to dieing after all those years. :( alzheimers is one of the scariest diseases ever. i'm sorry. they're supposedly making great medical advances in preventing and treating it.. some even in reversal. it seems to be one of the fastest improving research areas, as far as the medical world goes.

Yeah I'd totally rather just shoot my self than have it.

Maybe they'll have it fixed before I have to think about it.

it looks promising. so far they've been able to completely stop the progression once it's caught early. of course, treatments and medication take FOREVER to get approved/marketed, but i think by the time we're that age it will at least be a much more manageable disease.

-any- diease of the mind scares the shit out of me... esp schizophrena(sp) i want to cry when i see people with it. i would pretty much rather go through anything than go crazy. :(
