Argent Apartment | Evening

Isaac
Everything that happened between Oak Creek and making it back to the Argent apartment had been a blur. Isaac vaguely recalled speaking to the police, confirming the story that Chris had made up about muggers attacking everyone and Allison being stabbed. The words fell out of his mouth easily and he didn't have to fake grief.

He also heard something Scott said about them coming up with a plan to save Stiles and defeat the nogitsune. But that didn't really seem important right now.

Right now he seemed to be focusing more on how much he missed Allison and how it was his fault she was gone. He didn't know why Chris allowed him to tag along, but he was grateful for it. It hurt, walking into the dark, empty apartment but it was surrounded by Allison's things and that's what he needed right now.

Chris
"I appreciate the concern," Chris started. "But you don't have to stay. I'll be alright. I've dealt with this before, I have a capacity and an ability to compartmentalize my emotions."

And he needed it considering he had lost his wife, sister and daughter in less than a year.

Isaac
Isaac's shoulders slumped and he turned towards Chris, tears in his eyes. "I don't."

Chris
It was sometimes hard to forget he was dealing with teenagers. Ones that didn't have the training he had in life. Chris gave Isaac a sympathetic look before pulling him into a hug.

Isaac
They stayed like that for a long while. Eventually Isaac managed to get his emotions in check and let Chris be alone for a bit. Isaac wandered into Allison's room, feeling a fresh wave of pain when he realized she'd never be in here again.

He stood in front of her dresser, fingering the Chinese ring daggers that had been lying there. They brought back memories. Painful ones, but memories nevertheless.

Chris
Which is where Chris found him a few minutes later. "Careful, that would take some practice."

He took one of the knives out of Isaac's hands. "When Allison was learning she had to bandage her fingers they got so raw. She wouldn't give up on it though."

Maybe he wasn't as good at compartmentalizing as he thought.

Isaac
"She kept trying to say something," Isaac murmured.

Chris
Chris looked over at him. "What's that?"

Isaac
"She was trying to say something. Scott, you have to tell him, she said. You have to tell my father," he said, his voice cracking a little. "She didn't have the chance to finish it but I'm sure it's that she loved you."

Chris
"It's okay," Chris said. "It's okay, she made a point of telling me earlier. We have this tradition, when you finish your training as a hunter--"

Isaac
"You make a silver bullet," Isaac finished. He remembered that from the darach ordeal.

Chris
Chris nodded. "She was making a silver arrow head."

Isaac
That caught Isaac's attention. Allison had killed an Oni with one of her arrows. Most of them hadn't worked but one of them had done the job.

"Where is it? The arrow head?" he asked. "I need to see it."

Chris
"Downstairs," Chris answered. "Why?"

Isaac
"Because I have a feeling it isn't there."

There were silver arrowheads downstairs as it turned out. Several of them.

Chris
"Why would she make four of them?" Chris asked, lifting up one of the arrowheads.

Isaac
"She didn't. She made five," Isaac said, feeling proud on Allison's behalf. "She made the first one and then she figured it out. She used the first silver arrow head to kill one of the Oni. We saw her do it."

Chris
"How?" Chris asked.

Isaac
"The same way you almost did," he said. "Do you remember when you told us about one of your first gun deals, the yakuza?"

Chris
"That meeting wasn't one of my first deals," Chris said, putting it together. "It was my first."

Isaac
"The bullet that you used to shoot the Oni, was that a silver bullet?" he asked.

Chris
Chris nodded and then shook his head. "But it didn't kill him, it just broke his mask."

Isaac
"Probably went straight through," Isaac said. "What if silver is like a poison to them? What if it needs to stay in the body? What if that's what she was trying to tell Scott? That she figured it out?"

Chris
"These four were still setting when she went off to meet Scott."

Isaac
Isaac smiled. "We can stop them."

Chris
"No. We can kill them," Chris said, going for his crossbow. "Call Scott, we'll meet them at the school."
