Jun 03, 2009 01:55

i barely ever use my cell phone i dont like them i guess that makes me old. everyone has them or wants them  and the cost is cheaper in most cases then the land line. i also like to have it so i can use it as backup for when the cable modem goes out ( pretty often sadly)

writer's block

This is the easier one to answer.

I remember when I first got a cell phone. I'd been in what I'd guess you'd call a car accident. It was winter and I was driving toward the intersection at the end of my street and slid, lodging the car on the island where the high school sign is (it looked different then) and ramming it against a yellow cement pole. My dad's reply to the whole thing was, "Time to get a cell phone."

I told myself then I'd only use it for emergencies, but now I use it for a lot of things, when I don't want the calls to go to the house. I also like having it with me in case something -does- happen. Nothing serious ever has, but there've been a couple of minor cases when I've been glad to have it.

Obviously you know I still live at home and there's a landline there, but I've never used it with frequency.
