HIII! Welcome back. 13hr/day, 6-days a week, sounds hellish. As nice as the money was, I'm much happier that you have more free time. (I'm a HUGE fan of free time)
If it helps, I had LJ comments from 2005 that I meant to respond to. 2005!
The 13 hours/day wasn't as bad as it sounds (which was really surprising). I got used to it really fast. I mean, I had no life, but I was either so busy that I didn't have time to worry about it. Or there was nothing going on, no one was there and I could have the music up as loud as I wanted and go hang out in the breakroom and watch t.v.
The worst part of the whole thing was that we had a company merger and the people whose plant we merged with were really really not happy with the invasion. There were fights going on all the time and the upper management were trying to prove who had the most power by blocking anything anyone else tried to do just to show they could. When one of our people left, it took them 4 MONTHS to hire a replacement. Which meant we were all working overtime after our 13 hours trying to cover that position.

So, ::smooch:: and glad to see you back. I'm glad you are pursuing the state licensing because I'm sure that will lead to something more lucrative and less stressful than 13+hours/day 6 days a week. Sorry about the friends breaking up and the loneliness. It sucks, it won't be the same, but it will evolve. Hopefully, the loneliness will dissipate as you make new connections at school and in your new living situation.
Best of luck with everything. I hope the changes ultimately prove positive ones for you.
