I don't know about the snivelling Draco though... I think he is seen in a more positive light in this one than any of the other books. He actually manages to corner Harry and break his nose, you know, rather than oozing on a luggage rack himself... And he manages to repair the vanishing cabinet. And his motivation to teh dark side is obviously coercion: the threat to his family, rather than the clear choice that Wormtail made towards siding with Voldemort.

The way is clear to pretty boy love, methinks.
And Ginny and Harry-- may I join you in saying GROSS!!!

AU or not, GOTL still rules. GO! DRACO, GO!

He spent half the book sniveling though. I was so mad. At first I thought the book was going to be totally Harry vs. Draco: the Ultimate Showdown but then Draco didn't DO anything ( ... )

It doesn't matter if GOTL is AU now, I still love it!!! Sucks that you didn't get the book right away. I would have been pissed!

All the good stuff is AU anymore. *sigh* There are a lot of details I like knowing just because there's a sense of satisfaction there but other things I wish we could just make up on our own.

I agree with everyone. It doesn't matter if GOTL is AU. We will still blindly read on. Because everyone loves it. People who don't even like the ship love it. Just, keep trucking on with it. Is our idol worship for you NOT ENOUGH?

It's not so much that GOTL is AU that bothers me, it's just that it's now so much harder to think of a canon way to get Hermy and Draco together. So, yeah, I threw them into the wilderness and that's just a tad EXTREME, but now I can't even do THAT in canon.

Why did Dumpy wait until THIS year to give snape the Defence aginst the dark arts job??? Hello it was in the plan.... Why tell Harry everthing? It was in the plan.

Dude! And where was Fawkes! We saw in OotP that Fawkes could take one AVKD for Dumbledore and the damn bird didn't even try.

But WHY was it a plan, damnit! Freaking Dumbledore could have found a way around it, I'm sure. Rowling hinted said something about a reason that Sirius had to die. So maybe there's a reason she's piling corpses on Harry's back. I dunno
