The inbetween
So today is the first real snowfall of the winter. How fitting is it that we are expecting 15 inches or so?
Time to recap a slew of topics:
1) Story - Still working. I've got a LOT of crap yet to write and I'm redoing the whole gunfight "scene". It was just something I threw together quickly and wasn't all that engaging to begin with. I'm also dotting the entire novel with bits and pieces of facts. I'm thinking of going over some Mary Jane history in the second half, simply because some of it is just so interesting and parallels the storyline.
2) Work - ugh. Had a long talk today with a coworker about the "cool" people leaving. Some of them haven't gotten pay increases this last year. And here I was upset with a 1% increase. I was actually kind of amazed at how much this coworker knew about the others. Apparently they confide in her a lot or something.
3) Sleep - Still screwy. I know how to fix it, but that's even more screwy then the problem itself. I refuse to go back to the neurologist.
4) Play - I have an active DAOC account, but I never play it cause it's just not something I care about. Counterstrike and Natural Selection are still really fun to play. I'm also in a Star Wars D&D campaign, but not much going yet. Only been to one session.
5) Money - Yeah I got that, I also have credit card problems/debt to "fix". I think I might do that this money. Damn landlord isn't cashing our rent checks till the end of the month, though. Also got a slew of bills coming up. I always seem to manage just fine though, and I'm not spending more than I'm bringing in for the most part. Although Christmas kind of hit my budget.
6) Security - I found what seems to be an IE exploit, but it doesn't crash my computer at home. Crashes the ones at work though. And how...
