I decided to take 520 to UCF today. 520 is hypothetically a "shortcut," being the hypotenuse of a triangle formed when you tack it on to I-95 and 50. It was under construction for a while, but I haven't driven it in more than half a year, so I figured it might be done. I found it in the saddest state I've ever seen it. When I got into the monsoon, some morose Spanish song came on the radio, and the only word I could discern was "el muerte." The road was really shitty, but the song is what made me really nervous.
