It's a sad delusion, for one to think that they're going to park in the same spot once they return from their food run or whatever it is they're doing during the week here at the academic village. But, I see it all the time. The deceptions to which people resort anger me at first, but then I pity them and their naivete. The guy who is cleary ( Read more... )

That happened to me a few times. I can remember one time where I watched the guy walk to his car, get in, and then he stared at me in his rear view mirror, waiting for me to carry on my search. So I pull off and he thinks his spot is safe, so he pulls out. I put the car in reverse, snag his spot, give him the finger and all is well in the universe.

Yeah, I just tear around the next aisle of spaces in a circle really fast, unless there's a lot of people around.

When I lived in Lake Claire, every rare once in a while we'd send Linsey out for something, and Angel and I would stand in her spot. I felt kind of bad about it, but Lake Claire parking was so horrendous that if you left, you'd end up parking in the garage when you came back, assuming it wasn't daytime and the garage wasn't full.

Well, I'm not sure what I think of that in the grand scheme of things, but I guess more people parked without decals in that lot, so it's at least a bit better.

Yes, we often had Greeks using our lots, just to name one group.
