Interestingly enough, over the last two years, I've come to the exact opposite conclusion.

Everyone is fundamentally alone. We reach out for others, but when it comes down to it, we're alone. Life isn't so short, and it isn't long, it just is. People who say that life is too short for something don't realize that everything has it's value, even pain and hate and ignorance and stupidity and death. Learning to live doesn't mean learning to love, or to accept, it just means living, going from one day to the next doing what you have to do to get by. Being forced to question can be a good thing, but what's better is being put in a situation where the slightest mistake causes everything to fall apart. Because it will. But you jump back in and play it to the hilt, and you fail again. You learn to dance with the situation at hand, regardless of what it is, and you find you can play the game without knowing the rules.

And I'm far more insane than you.
