I was tagged by alainbriongloid, who made it a foodie post. I'm attempting to follow along, but you can make it about whatever you like!
1. I enjoy experimenting with new and different foods, but I'm very shy about sharing my experiments with anyone else. My family is a clan of picky eaters, and my friends mostly have amazing taste. My family won't go near my experiments with a 10 ft poll and I worry constantly that I'll embarrass myself with over/under done bits or other rookie mistakes to my friends.
2. I know next to nothing about fine wine, and I don't particularly care to. I've never cooked with wine and I almost never drink wine. For my darlings who care and care deeply, I'm sorry. I just don't get it.
3. I find food related interactions to be very intimate. Eating with someone, cooking for them, watching people eat; they are all attractive, intimate, sexy things to do at varying levels.
4. This may be related to #3, but for a date I would rather cook for my SO or be cooked for than go out to a restaurant four times out of five. It's harder to do properly when the fine foods in the house are ramen, oatmeal, and fish sticks, but when I can afford nice things I enjoy the whole process.
5. Cooking entrees is completely intimidating. My mother taught be to bake with great care and attention to detail, but when it came to actually making dinner she didn't ever really got around to it. I can make a few little things, but when presented with the butcher at my local grocery store I tend to panic. I can't keep my cuts of meat straights, and I have no idea what to do with most of it.
6. I love peanut butter and bread. The third ingredient here can be highly variable: jam or marmalade, honey, fresh fruit, or chocolate. As long as the peanut butter is good and the bread is too, I'm happy.
