As a parent and also a sex educator, I have a soft spot for parents doing alternative things while also raising their kids. And while I've never met her, I've enjoyed and admired the work of Catalina, a sex blogger and Mom who has run smack into some really rotten prejudices and double dealing.

Thank you for sharing Catalina's story. Her situation is not uncommon as I have been asked to leave numerous xtian organizations over the past 20 years due to my lack of censorship and open honesty about my lifestyle. I live an hour away from the father of my children in order to give my kids the chance they need to survive that world until they can make the decision for themselves. I absolutely know and understand what she is going through. I will definitely send her some money to help pay her child's tuition until she can finish this next year out.
I am no longer a xtian. It was far too painful for me to believe in something that tortured my very existence to the core.
