1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Saw Morrissey, had a conversation with someone's mum about shrimping. Met Nicky Wire and Jon Spencer.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I made one in 2001, aged 22, to give up smoking before I'm thirty. I'm 26, so still not broken even tho I still smoke. I may do this now as I'm coughing like satan at the moment. Coff.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Aye! I am now uncle Michael, due to rockin' little Isla.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.
5. What countries did you visit?
Sweden, Dorset.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A new job.
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory forever?
None spectacular, but leaving Leytonsone on 15th May was handy.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
As above. It's been a (mostly) sh*t year.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting a new job.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
I had a bout of flu in February. And Kathy's bed sometimes gives me back ache (too soft).
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Kathy Kathy. Mum, Dad, Isla, Jo, Dylan, friends everywhere.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My 2 main bosses. Utter vile pair of c*nts.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, bills, booze, records.
15. What thing did you get really, really, really excited about?
Leaving Leytonstone.

a) happier or sadder? Love life is 100000% happier, everything else the same.
b) thinner or fatter? A tad fatter. Burp.
c) richer or poorer? Way poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Job hunting.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating, being indicisive.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I rocked out in Bridport, Dorset, with Kathys family. It was beautiful and painful to leave, even tho i really missed my family at times.
21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Yes.
22. How many one-night stands?
One 1 night, one 2 night, one 3 night. Then all sorted out by the end of the summer by the prettiest girl from the West.
23. What was your favourite TV program?
FA Cup final and 2-0 win over Arsenal glossed over a poor football year. Didn't watch much proper telly.

'Girlfriend in a coma' by Coupland
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Johnny Boy, Sufjan Stevens, rediscovering Daft Punk, Hawksley Workman, loads others.
27. What did you want and get?
Relationship wise: one escape and one capture.
28. What did you want and not get?
A good job.
29. What was your favourite film of this year?
Lost in Translation. Napoleon Dynamite (Im with Cay on these two).
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Sat behind Bez on a train from Manchester to London, then hung out with Phil Mitchell and Minty at the local (kinda). I was 26.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Untidy.

Boozy, friends, girlfriend, choons.

I think I'm allowed to "do" Scarlet Johansson for one night only if she falls into my arms.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
US election.
36. Who did you miss?
Family, friends from Manchester and Brighton.
37. Who was/were the best new person/people you met?
Kathy, with close senconds to Fran, Cay and Barb (but none of them sleep with me). And a whole bunch of other people my tired brain is not remembering, but they'd know who they were if they stumbled across this.
