Did I mention how much I hate the way that car rental companies ream you on taxes and fees? You might pay $120 to rent a Kia--A KIA, FOR GODSAKE!!!--for six days, and then turn around and get stuck with over $60 just to complete the transaction...

...if only I could run 60 mph.

It's just like when your insurance says they will pay for a car comparable to yours while it is in the shop. It's a load of crap. Mu husband wrecked out Audi months ago and we paid the 500 dollar deductable and were driving around in a Camry but only after we refused the compact 4cylinder they wanted to give us.
