My hubby is a computer guy. His advice is to stay far far away from a dell anything. Go for a run of the mill IBM. We have a pentium 4 which is actually quite old. But we did get a DSL modem so it is really fast and never ties up the phone line. Anyway where dells are concerned, they have lots of issues and waste alot of space by adding a bunch of programming you don't need or won't use. But if you delete the program you end up ruining the system and having to reload it back in. My husband got our computer reformatted the hard drive then loaded on the systems and prgrams we needed, so it's not bogged down with a bunch of useless BS! But good luck!
