Sirius actually has a perfectly good idea. I've seen glasses with battery-powered lights in them (LEDs usually), although I always thought they were just for shiny and not for seeing how much you have left in a dim room. You'd think wizards could just charm the glasses to glow or something? Could be a novelty for Fred & George's shop. ;) (Along with ones that show full when they're empty, and show empty when they're full.. the wizarding equivalent of the dribble glass!)
