At some level, she registered as pretty, but it wasn't terribly important. An ally and an asset, rank still unknown, and going to debrief him. It didn't really matter whether that had been her intention or not; he'd gotten her attention, he needed information, and she probably had it. That was generally his definition of 'ally.' Someone who would help him whether they wanted to or not. And if they usually wanted to help anyway, that was probably the closest he got to 'friend.'
"It was fine. Bennet?"

"What's your rank, Claire?"

Arthas stopped short at the threshold - this looked important, like someone at least knew what they were doing. An armory. Albiet very makeshift; he knew they were the "civilians" but hadn't thought this was going to be fought like a peasant uprising. Everyone take a pitchfork. With his luck, the militants would already have airborne. Your skills are needed. Evidently. They'd brought in the right man, then. Let it never be said he couldn't make the best out of a bad situation.
"Death Knight Arthas Menethil reporting. I was told to come here."

Rhade looked up, surveying the very large, and well armored man that came through the door. He might have even spent more time adoring that armor if it wasn't for the reek he brought with him. It reminded him quite a bit of those bodies that rose, grappled for him soon after his introduction.
He tilted his head slightly and slowly stood.
"I'm Commander Rhade. I received a notice to expect someone for tactics and combat. Your rank has yet to be issued." He shoved the papers aside. "What are you already aware of, besides that you've been thrust into a war you probably care nothing about and have been assigned a side."

"I can work the communications network, I know the identifying signs of the respective armies and what the arena of events is called, I know that you have loose undead outside that can be an asset, I know that this isn't my world, I know we have informants on the Militant side and I know that when we win, I get to go back to my own war.
Killing them shouldn't be a problem. I'm something of a specialist. Are these maps accurate?"

Narcissa doesn't look like a soldier, for which she is eternally grateful. She also doesn't look quite like a witch, which she's slightly less happy about, but the Muggle clothes she's found are at least clean and well-made, the shops with the least practical clothing have, unsurprisingly, been looted least. She's found a silky burgundy evening dress which falls to the middle of her calves- hidden by the tellingly witchy-looking buttoned boots she arrived in- and a long black coat. It's slightly too big on her, but she carries it as if that's the point of it. Outsized coats are in this season. Obviously ( ... )

He did like being remembered as royalty, though.
"We're allies here. Prince Arthas is fine."

"Marvelous," she said, moving swiftly onwards. "Then Mrs Malfoy will be appropriate. You had questions, I believe?"

"Mostly regarding the state of our defenses and standing army. The ... resetting has been explained to me. I'm puzzled how we're expected to win a war when the enemy doesn't stay dead."
