Perhaps this could be added to a guide somewhere: Avoid allowing your perception of how your character is “supposed to be” to limit roleplaying possiblities.

Tell me about it. Meliaam's gone from a haughty but fairly run-of-the-mill cat to one of the originators of the Strangevirus - if she and Inhatti can be believed. Playing out the full implications of that has been pretty entertaining, in a horrible sort of way.

I've never tried to play anyone truly insane before. Hope she can become a good antagonist for people to play off of...

I think hanging out with Meliaam has made Atazael/Inhatti a little saner, to be honest. At least she's a little more coherent as Inhatti...

Every time I hold back from what a character seems to want to do, for whatever OOC reason, the quality of my storytelling suffersz.

Of course, the butterfly/salamander is my nasty character, my antisocial, angsty teen self-parody. She'd probably welcome the fight!

Someone's got to be the antagonist now and then, or story is more difficult. I do hope that my Horrible Nasty mask at least makes for an interesting problem, if rarely a pleasant one...
