I got into an argument with my mother today. It started during the sermon I was barely listening to, when I heard the pastor say that the sign of corruption in our government, among a few other things, was a sign that this nation was moving away from God

I always want to see Frank Miller does the founding fathers as a shounen action comic book. On the side of nothing.

I have a weird view on all of this, but I also don't believe in purity or perfection, so it's hard to say which part is which.

People in general aren't pure, so to say that any sort of huge collection of them would be is kind of counter-intuitive.

I don't know, things like this bother me a lot. That sort of naive, holier-than-thou attitude is what paints Christians in such a bad light when it's really... not what Christianity is about at all.

I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said, but honestly, the more I see of it, the more convinced I become that it's better for both government and religion that they stay as far apart from each other as possible.
