i just think, if you dont like it then get the hell out of this country. i also dislike it when people dont salute the flag or say the pledge. People might argue that they can choose not to do so because it is a free country, but geezus, show a little respect for a country that is full of opportunity.

i dont stand, but ihave my reasons. just because i dont it does NOT mean that i do not respect the country. i remain silent (or mostly silent) and remove my hat (if i am wearing one), unlike other people i have been in classes with, where people were annoying as all hell and i coudlnt hear anything, now that is disrespect.

oh, wah. I'm pretty sure that that was made mostly with sarcasm. Why would you get so easily pissed off by that? I don't get as easily pissed off when someone goes "LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT."

well in what way do you find it okay for someone to be benifiting from the country but not paying it respect, or even worse, trashing it.

There's no evidence in trashing. Unless you mean bad-mouthing. But respect is a person's choice to give, it's not required when they are reaping benefits. You do not know whether that person is a very helpful person in society, someone who is actually giving back to the nation while "trashing it." I feel that disrespectful actions are better to critique than just harshful words.
