This is where a lot of the random things I will be posting about Mikaela - reasonings behind certain actions, why she does the things she does or says the things she speaks.

--On Going Home: Mikaela isn’t sure how time moves along without her back home. As far as she’s concerned, she hasn’t been there or seen anyone in nine months. She’s fairly certain everyone thinks she’s dead, and at this point…she’s not eager to go back. Everyone would have eventually moved on, Sam would have gone back to college, and her father would have done his grieving already. Mikaela doesn’t think it’s fair for her to go back and step back into her life just like that…she knows it would devastate many people, and…likely at this point Sam has moved on, and it would not be fair of her to return and potentially throw everything off everyone has come to terms with. If the portal ever does end up complete, Mikaela will not be going home. She doesn’t know how to tell the other Autobots this, and has therefore kept that mostly to herself, telling only Graham of her uncertainties.

Mikaela has been bribed by Magnum to return with him during the Shattered Glass event. In exchange for a antidote for the Autobots, Mikaela promised to return to his version of Cybertron when the portal was completed. However, the infected Autobots reverted back to normal eventually on their own, and Mikaela viewed this as negating the deal, and when Magnum died - this cut if off completely.

This is not something they will see eye to eye on, should the conversation arise. She will prefer to stay in the Nexus than return to Tranquility. Her life is now here, as opposed to back on Earth.

--The Allspark Shard: Recently, Mikaela has come into contact again with the Allspark Shard. After Jetfire was brought back, the Shard was scooped up, placed back into its cannister, then placed in Mikaela's pants. Since she was ported in directly from Egypt, she still had it on her. The clothing she had ben wearing there had been eventually boxed up and placed in storage in her shop. Recently, she decided to go through some of these boxes and throw them away (old memories don't sit well with her - she thinks having them in her shop is bad juju, man) and found the small shard in her pocket.

At this point, she isn't sure who to turn it over to. The Autobots, or Magnum.

She still possesses this shard, though it has accidentally created several minicons, one of which is still alive and helps run the shop - a transforming walkman, Motorbutt.

--On Sam: Sam was one of the most important people in her life before Axiom, and losing him was one of her worst fears. She loved him unconditionally, and would have done anything for him. He was someone Mikaela would give her life for and not think twice about it. She’s been with him through everything; thick and thin, and better or worse. She's fought Decepticons, been shot at, chased through a desert, been kidnapped, and injured since meeting him. Sam's presence in the Nexus was a constant - it kept her from going too crazy, and vice versa. They were each others rocks, their foundations to keep them steady and hold their sanity down. They helped and supported each other, and kept each other from danger whenever possible. Discovering an alien race together is a big thing, and of course intertwined their fates forever, like it or not. When Sam disappeared, Mikaela was absolutely devastated and thought she might go crazy, but she somehow managed to keep it together (though her judgement was a bit flawed with who she trusted).

When Mikaela was killed by Megatron, her memory of Sam ever being in the Nexus has been erased. Shockwave's process isn't foolproof, and she has no recollection of him ever setting foot in the city. She still wears the locket around her neck that was given to her by him for her birthday, but she does not know who gave it to her. As far as Mikaela is concerned, Sam is back in college, moving along with his life after the battle in Egypt. Thinking about him sometimes makes her extremely sad, and she misses him terribly. Recently, she's realized (and acted impulsively on) feelings for another, and the guilt sits heavy in the pit of her stomach. Unfortunately - she has no one she feels she can really speak with on the matter, and so she takes it slow and one day at a time, and tries not to let the guilt fester deep within her. After so long (and him quite possibly and likely thinking she's dead at this point), she wouldn't expect him to wait around for her and at this point, she no longer does. She finds herself not wanting him to mope around and hope she returns, because she knows that deep down...that isn't fair to expect. It's coming close to a year since the last time (she thinks) she's seen him, and in her mind...they're over.

However - even now, were Sam to return, she would gladly give her life to protect him. As stated previously, their fates are intertwined, even if they aren't together anymore.

Graham has returned home, shattering Mikaela. She destroyed everything in the shop and swore never to get involved again. Months later. Sam showed up again, claiming to have another girlfriend back home that isn't her, and to be from some time in her future. To protect him, she took him in, but remains evasive and argumentative and confrontational to maintain distance. The relationship is strained, and she continues to keep him at arms length by provoking arguments when possible.
