I'm pretty much totally with you on that last point. The back cover of evasion put the last nail in the coffin of my opinion of Crimethinc... "poverty, unemployment, homelessness. if you're not having fun, you're not doing it right."

I was deeply offended by it (and so were enough other folks that it was eventually changed), but I just feel like Crimethinc takes the upper crust American dream and transforms it into the Anarchist dream, without doing much to educate about sustainable change, which is where they could make some real impact instead of ranting about how awesome it is to eat roadkill or whatever.

for me it's not travelling kids panhandling per se, but getting pissy about it if people say no.

the one that took the prize was a guy who asked my kid for money. when she said "i don't have any, i'm twelve" he started muttering "oh bullshit, i had money when i was twelve." FAIL.
