Where did the media go? The RIAA cases and big media coverage

this was NEWS. I have added this to my memories, cause I don't want to lose this nice little resource you have put together for me.

As for my opinion, yes, it is sad that it isn't even the "government" that we are worried about media warping, it is big corporations that make us view them as not so evil, due to them never letting us see the evil, unless we search for it.

sigh, freedom of speech is constitutional, and not baring witness against oneself, but hmmmm this seems a very interesting twist on those, don't you think?

the oh so sad thing to me, is no one seems to care. The New York times today had an article about an artist who has been painting pictures of the famous moments of the Alabama football games for 3 or 4 decades. For most of this time, he was a distinguished alumni, given passes to the game and considered a wonderful asset to the University. Now they are suing him for using the Alabama trademarks in his paintings. I have lots of artist friends, many even here on LJ. But, the scarey developments in intellectual property law (which could directly impact their creative livlihoods) don't seem to faze anyone but me.

Depressing.

agree, I mean disagree, I mean grrr...
um. What I mean is, yes, artists are supposed to be able to give to society, and society is grateful, and why if they were grateful for so long did they freak out? Money! that sucks.
I think they just realized that he might be making a living on his art and that they just want a bit of anything they could get...

Man that just sucks when icons get victimized.
