Aiden first hit the scene really big a few years back when the lead slut on Sex and City was sleeping with one.

My name is Laurel, and I am a Name Nerd.

Yeah, with the exception of some of the classic "Old Lady Chic" names emerging, naming trends are kind of a free-for-all right now: boys' names on girls, surnames on everyone, and "kre8tive" spellings of classics to muck up the stats ("Just change the vowels to Ys and that makes it femynyn!"). I belong to an awesome forum called Baby's Named a Bad, Bad Thing where the purists make fun of (and cry about) these horrors. Highly recommended reading!

AND EVERYONE'S NAMED TAYLOR! Even the president!

It must be very confusing for you. Both of the kids in "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl" are named Taylor IRL.
