D and I took her bosses, who were in town from Australia to see it, since it won't come out there for at least 6 months. TIme was tight, and due to it being nearly 3 hours long, there was only one showing we could make, and we didn't quite. But rather than call it bust when we got there 18 minutes after the scheduled showtime, we went anyway.
This had the nice side-effect of missing the technobabble reasons for why the earth was going to do whatever it was going to do, and instead we got to meet John Cusack at the beginning.
I recommend this.
I expected to hate it, but really enjoyed it.
Was it just me, or did Woody's animated "blog" sound EXACTLY like Bill Nye?
