THE MOGBLOG
the_mogblogThe mogblog is a communications network that was borne from the combined efforts of the moogles, the local denizens, and the strangers from others world. Modeled from social networking 'sites' from the outside worlds, and powered in Padarak by magic and foreign technology, it allows people to sign up for the program and interact with each other regardless of physical distance from each other.
Input is done in two ways; magical and technological. This is to ensure both kinds of people within Padarak - those who prefer to rely on magic and those who prefer to rely on technology - may be able to reach everyone regardless of their preferences and therefore promote unity within the city.
If a person identifies themselves as someone more comfortable with traditional means, their access to mogblog will come from a magical book provided when they sign up for the program. However, if they prefer the more modern means, access to mogblog will come through a laptop, or an electronic device of their choosing loaded with the proper mogblog program. Because of the sheer variety of electronic devices that can carry the hybrid mogblog program, the standard access to the mogblog provided at the Immigration Building will be the standard magical book. The Mogblog program was designed to be compatible with almost all laptops, cellphones, iPhones, desktops, etc. A list of known flukes is available at the Immigration Building.
Finally, because the mogblog was only recently established, people may occasionally experience problems with it. Work on the mogblog never stops! Expects updates on the system here and then!

THE MOGNET
The Mognet was the dominant communications network at Padarak and run personally by the moogles who deliver the letters to the addressee themselves, and when that isn't possible on such quick notice, to the addressee's houses , until the introduction of the mogblog.
Quite simply; it is a service run by the moogles to help people communicate by exchanging private letters.
Various vulnerabilities within this service (for example; letter stealing proved to be quite common on February and try as they might, the moogles couldn't completely stamp out this problem) and the delays in the arrival mails brought up the need for a more advanced, efficient, not to mention lightning-speed method of communication.
It's still running at Padarak today, though, it is now overshadowed by the Mogblog.
The MogNet is run completely by Moogles. [There will be a drop off post for said mail which will be delivered by NPC Moogles in the game!]
ENTER THE TOWN
You may enter and leave Padarak, and its world, at anytime. This; the Crystal has promised.
People from other worlds are invited into Padarak; nobody can be sure exactly how, or if the Crystal even has a protocol. However, while some may talk about a voice biding them to come and help, others choose to keep silence on the matter.
In any case, while the nature of the invitation is something of a mystery, one thing is for sure; you come? The first building you're ever introduced to is the Immigration Building situated near the Castle and right in front of one of Padarak's oldest Guild Houses. This is because the Immigration Building, home to a number of portals created by the Crystal, is the entry point.
It's at the Immigration Building that any visitor's identification is processed and filed, to ensure everything and everyone within Padarak can be accounted for at all times. After all the paperwork is done, people are welcomed by a smiling representative from the PWC (Padarak Welcoming Committee), who then provide the starter kit for every visitor; a pamphlet containing information on Padarak in brief, a map, and some Gil to start with.
Naturally, leaving Padarak and its world happens at the Immigration Building too.
