Reading over the holidays

I've been reminded that word of mouth is a good thing, and I don't talk about my book addiction enough. I've been doing a lot more reading on the Kindle; the move keeps me away from my physical books. So presume that all books I talk about are available as ebooks.

I loved The Cloud Roads and am reading The Serpent Sea right now.

I have a Dreamwidth account, same name, but sadly, don't check it much. I prefer LJ.

Have you read the Mage War books? I'd be curious what you think of the prequels. I couldn't get into The Stars Asunder because the alien society kept me from finding the characters engaging.

I also have a Dreamwidth account with the same name, but I think that my friends there all cross-post to LJ (or, like me, only have the account so that they can comment on the posts their friends cross post to LJ). I certainly never remember to go look at it, and never checked after setting it up to import my posts from LJ to see if they only took up to that day, or if it continued on to the present.

we're already connected on dreamwidth. I still read LJ, but as people transition I try to comment over there.

I too have parked on a DreamWidth account, same account name. I don't think I've been over there in months, but it's waiting. If the next LJ software upgrade is as bad as the last one, I might finally make the Great Migration.

I found you and granted you access a while ago, so you can read/comment over there. I still check both; I'm not that busy on either.
