Where's the job?

Damn asheville's whole lacking of good 3rd shift jobs is pissing me off. I need an all night gas station or some shit. anyone know any (that are really all night, not just open late) around the area, besided north asheville exxon, already tried it.

No gas stations that I know of - but what about hotel front desks or the Waffle House? If all else fails - you could be a cabbie. We could all dub you the Mad Irish Cabbie.

Hmmmm - 3rd shift jobs in general just plain suck. What about a factory job that starts at 5am and goes until 2pm? I think that is what Jess' job is now.

Hotel front desks are a good one, too. My dad worked the night audit at the Hyatt for a couple years when I was little. He also had a night gig as an operator at the phone company for a while, too. Answering services and things might be good places to try.

One option might be to look into construction jobs. You've got enough skills to be a welder's helper or a carpenter, or an electrician's helper for that matter. The pay's decent, especially if you're willing to work night shift. It's hard work, though, and often not very long term. Check the papers for notices about shutdowns and the like, though.
