He's sitting on a small flight of stairs. The wind is cold on his bare arms, but he refuses to ask her for anything, and jackets constitute 'anything'. The air is crisp and the sun shines halfheartedly on the hellish castle, gleaming on the threads of energy connecting the elevators and doors, and he sits, silent, staring ahead into nothing.
He has nothing to say to anyone, even as the legion of cold-hearted beings troop by him, burlap and red silks and sea sludge. They do not look at him, and he looks away as they approach, move past, and the sounds of life oozingpaddingstriding by fade away. They're here again. He hates them. Something in their hearts -- he feels it now, feels it like he never has before -- makes him believe they could fall off the deep end at any time. Their hearts are on the verge of breaking.
He remembers the last time he saw the only person he's ever considered a real friend. He remembers the shockhorrorhatred in Sora's eyes, and he buries his face in his arms.
