Delta Airlines and Northwest Airlines are merging tomorrow.

Work is going to be crazy.

Have you ever used your points? If anything now you'll need more, because there will be less competition.

that doesn't pose any problems for you, does it?

It does, indirectly.

1) FrankenAirline (DNWA) is going to have crazy size and first mover advantages, and since I work in sourcing, on Wave 3, and we're trying to save the airline 180 million dollars, this is going to make all our jobs harder.

2) my boss's husband is the guy setting up our eventual merger with Continental, which will now be fast tracked. So she won't see him much, and she will be cranky. I do not need a cranky boss.

3) When United merges with Continental as a defensive merger, we're going to shed our senior management, which is going to fuck up all the meeting I've been scheduling, and could significantly change "staffing levels." You don't need two headquarters for one company, after all.

oh well, as long as you're not at risk for being redundancied-out.

I like that you even know reason #2.

My department hasn't moved downtown yet. Monday, April 28th is our move in day. Check your schedule for that week and we can arrange something. :)
