It was a young adult book about a family fleeing from Russia.
I remember they used a train. I'm pretty sure the main character was a girl.
I think I remember something about one of the parents being too sick to make the trip.
It's not a lot...but it's what I remember. I remember that they were terrified of the actual border crossing and dealing with the officials coming to inspect the travel documents.
It's POSSIBLE they were Jewish...but I don't remember that as strongly.
And it was in the same section of the anthology (just a scrap of the book) as Underground to Canada and the Upstairs Room.
Oh right...it was also in story format, not letter format...so definitely not "Letters from Rifka"....especially since that was published in the same year I was in grade 7, so it wouldn't have made it into an anthology.

I was actually just thinking about the last book I borrowed from the library too...it was good, but completely forgot the title. -_-
