New Car / Apartment Hunting

I picked up my new car yesterday. It's shiny. We soon found one major problem with it...the knob that controls the power of the air in the car is out of its rails in the dash...so if you push it a little, it pushes back into the hollow behind the dash. D'oh. but it's cosmetic, and I have a car (that we didn't pay a ton for) so I'm cool with it

Congrats on the car! I previously had a lovely "imperial blue" car; couldn't stand the cotton-candy electric blue that was the next car's only blue choice, so I went with red. It's taken a little getting used to, but I get compliments from random strangers when the car is clean

Lino and I can vouch for Craigslist. The search is specific. Out here, it was the only site we had luck with either time we went looking.

Out here, there are 5 places within our narrow search that go up every day and you have to be right on top of them to get a viewing.

But make sure you have a list of questions (utilities? square footage? laundry? or whatever) so that you can rule them out more quickly, since ads by average Joes won't have all the details you need.
