Honor your father and your mother

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. Thank you for your thoughts! I have often thought about what it means to honor my parents. I have often had confusion around it, however, your thoughts are quite helpful, and give me something new to chew on.

That is so difficult when your parents are constantly in the hospital. I don't know how a person could handle that much! I suppose through prayer and through reminding oneself of how things have been taken care of in the past.

Thanks for your post!

I've learned so much in the past few weeks and the best lesson is that no matter how torn my heart is, God's Hand is everywhere. Looking back at events, I see God's doing. It's quite humbling.

My mother is in a skilled nursing rehab and probably will be for a few weeks. After that, we'll take it from there. God is gracious!!
