So i've found out something that interests and confuses me a great deal. Perhaps some of the female types can help clear this up for me. I've discovered (although my research has been limited) that girls would often rather have a guy who doesn't keep his word and is willing to tell her other people's secrets, instead of a guy who does keep his word ( Read more... )

i dont disagree totally..but your argument is a lil one-sided. yes girls tend to tell secrets and gossip..most girls have because we are human and fallible and sinful. but um hello boys do it to. because hey they arent perfect either. just because a girl tells a secret doesn't mean that she didn't want to keep it..it means she made a mistake! i mess up alot and i tend to gossip now and then but i try really reallly really hard not to. and whether you like it or not boys do the same things. and mm speaking for myself id much rather have a guy that keeps his word to not only me but everyone even if it means not telling me something. i may want to know but id rather him keep his word.

thanks, that a nice change. I realize guys do it too, but the question was about what girls value more. It's not at all uncommon to see a guy getting badgered by his gf who is nagging him to tell her something, and in my mind these girls obviously value the first type of guy. However, (though I may have written it a bit one sided in the entry) the first type of guy doesn't have to be a scum bag. He could be exactly the same as the second type except for the keeping his word thing.
