*is an early bird because she has to be, and has been running around helping with the decorations and overall set-up since morning; now she is just sitting with a small group of six-to-ten year olds--all set to perform something later on--and watching them practice their dance steps while waiting for the volunteers to arrive*
-Choa arrived fairly early, though, not nearly as early as Jihyun, but here she was, happy to play with the children - Jihyun-ah~ -coos as she takes a seat with Jihyun at the table with the little girls who where practicing their dance for later, reaching over to give her sister a small hug, an eye-smile in place-
Oh! Choa, you're here! *she leans in for a quick yet firm hug, and then thanks her for coming* Kids, this is my friend, Choa. *and the kids collectively greet her with sing-song voices and a polite bow, one of them asking afterward if her name really is Choa... because it sounds so much like the word for 'like' that it seems like a nickname*
-expresses how she's more than happy to be there as they separate, gathering her blonde hair over one shoulder as waves to the kids- Annyeong~ -smiles as the kids greet and bow to he all politely- Yes, that's my real name. -laughs softly, eyes disappearing- Joh-ah, Joh-ah, Park Choa-ibnida. -holds up a v-sign next to her cheek, trying to get the kids to laugh along with her-
Bi was totally contemplating whether she should go or not because of reasons, but she ended up going anyway. She really wasn't the type to seem like she was good with kids or would go to such events but she really did have her own reasons for going. The child she was with was crying and she stayed with him the whole time, trying to comfort him, calm him down and play with him. Finally, he stopped and whenever Bi let go of him, he would start up crying again. "Aigoo.... okay, okay, I won't let go." She said with a soft smile, seeming so unlike herself, but that's okay, what were the chances she'd actually see someone she knew here? The entire time, she held the child's hand or kept him in his lap.
Sitting at the same table, Jiwon noticed how the child Bi was holding kept on crying whenever she let go. Oops, that could be a problem, she thought while watching her six-year old kid eat by herself. Too independent, this one. She almost thought the universe has matched them well, at least for the day. After all, kids aren't like puppies you can adopt so easily. Sure, there's a certain level of responsibility required for both, but one is much higher than the other, so even if Jiwon thought having a mini-me was a cute idea, she was quick to let it go.
"Hey," she called out to Bi's kid, now sitting on her lap. She shifted her gaze at Bi for a bit, smiling at her before turning her attention back to the child. "What's your name? I'm Jiwon."
Bihyul sighed softly, but she kept a smile on her face. She didn't have much patience, but she was with a kid, so she actually had all the patience in the world for the child. Plus, she understood where the kid was coming from and why he was crying. He wanted to spend the holidays with a real family, but he didn't have that. Bi could relate totally, and she even told him that she too understood the feeling. He didn't believe her at first, but Bi found herself telling him her own story --- something she usually never did.
She kept the child in her lap, bouncing him up and down gently as she held him close against her. Hearing someone say something, she turned to the owner of the voice and then down at the child in her lap as she idly played with his hair, bowing her head just the slightest bit to Jiwon.
"Inhwan..." The little boy said softly as he looked between Jiwon and Bihyul, bowing his head as well.
"Hello, Inhwan," Jiwon started, smiling warmly at the little kid who seemed to then be enjoying his company. She reached her hand out for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you."
"Inhwannie is always crying." That was her kid, Taehee, who suddenly found the need to interject whilst her cheeks are still full of rice. "It's kind of annoying, especially at night." Narrowing her eyes a little at the little one by her side, she raised an arm and put it around Taehee's head, squeezing it between the side of her torso and her arm. Taehee yelped, and Jiwon just finished her off with a quick hair ruffle. She then looked up at Bihyul with an embarrassed grin, like her own child had caused the other harm on the kiddie playground.
"Right Taehee, we know. Now be nice and eat your food properly before speaking up, yeah?" Jiwon gave the child's hamster cheek a poke, and was rewarded with a swat of the hand. She snorted, and then shrugged at Bihyul. "Nice to meet you too."
A little later, when things have generally calmed down, Jihyun decided to "do some rounds," just to check on everyone and how they're doing. When she came across this table, she greeted Jieun with a smile, pulling an empty chair nearby to sit with them for a little while. "Thank you for coming," she told her, assuming that this young lady must be from Yonsei since Jihyun hasn't seen her volunteering around or working for the orphanage. "My name is Jihyun. I was the one who invited you all to this event. I hope you're not having any trouble so far?"
Not long after he'd finished with the spoonful of food he was at it again. This time about Jia, whom he liked, but who liked Minyeol despite him being uglier than him. So into the retelling of the first time he saw Jia, it surprised her when she stopped in the middle of his story and immediately turned to see what had caught his attention. Jieun bowed politely to Jihyun offering her a small smile. "I'm the one that should be thanking you. This is a wonderful thing, to get to spend time with these little angels." She pinched Hoo's cheek gently, as he sat there quietly through their exchange. "It's very nice to meet you Jihyun-sshi, my name is Lee Jieun. And thank you for the chance to be here, really. Everything is going great so far, the company is great." As if on cue, Hoo jumped up, practically crawling onto her lap while he wrapped his arms around her neck and pulled her down until she was on his level. "But there's no one prettier than Angel noona," he whispered into her ear, trying to play it cool in front of Jihyun.

"I'm glad to hear that, and yeah... we should have more opportunities like this throughout the year, but I guess at the moment it's only fitting to share the Christmas cheer with them, too." She reached for Hoo's shoulder and gave it a little squeeze, turning her attention to Jieun when she introduced herself. "It's very nice to meet you as well, Jieun-ssi. How many stories has this little one told you since you arrived?"
Word of mouth altered Younha of today's event, but the want to share her Christmas cheer with the younglings at the orphanage was what had her up early and leaving the apartment. As the festivities started and all volunteers were instructed to their places, Younha found herself paired with one of the more quiet boys. His name was Yejoon. He had glasses and was reading a children's book when Younha went over to the table he was seated at. He couldn't have been more than eight years old. Introductions were made, before Younha tried to strike up a conversation with the boy. Books were the topic, actually one in particular: The Lord of the Rings. Yejoon knew of the movies, had seen some of the trilogy at some point, and the moment it was mentioned his eyes lit up with wonder and curiosity about the knowledge Younha had of the world the stories took place in. Eventually, food was served and they continued their conversation while she made sure he ate

Jihyun was passing by Younha's table when she heard Yejoon come up with some kind of marriage proposal; she had to fight the urge to chuckle. These children and their imaginations. As she was helping serve and clean up a table nearby, she couldn't help but overhear the conversation and shake her head in amusement.
She came up to Younha a little later, patting her shoulder gently and introducing herself as soon as she looked up. "I can't help but overhear your conversation," she began, reaching for Yejoon's head and smoothing down his hair. "Our Yejoonie is turning out to be such a smooth-talker, isn't he?"
The pat to her shoulder had the young woman looking up with a smile, introducing herself in return and gesturing for Jihyun to take a seat with them at the table. "He is," she answered with a smile. "Imagine how smooth he'll be once he's older." She whistled softly. "The girls will not be able to resist!"
"The only girl for me is Miss Younha," Yejoon stated with a nod, leaning over and gently clinging to Younha's arm, a wide grin on his face. "She knows all about Middle Earth and she even went to the places they did the movie once! She's perfect."
"Aigoo," she laughed softly, patting the boy's head gently and looking over a Jihyun. "It will be interesting to see how my husband reacts to this challenge. He's quite competitive - it's in his nature and job title."
Without another word, Jihyun took the invitation to sit with them. "Oh I don't doubt that. But Yejoonie, Younha noona already has a husband. You know what that means, right?" she asked, reaching for the child's chin and giving it a gentle pinch.
The child reacted with a frown, and clung to Younha even more. "It's not fair. Everyone is married," he said with a heartbreaking pout, to which Jihyun replied, "No, that's not true. You'll find someone like Miss Younha someday. She'll be as awesome, but single."
She turned to Younha then, even as Yejoon still latched on to her. "I'm sure your husband will find it amusing. What does he do?"
Mina arrived just a few minutes shy of 11:30 AM. She entered the facility carrying a box and a large tote bag of goodies. She found a place to put the containers down and took her coat off and looked for a coat closet or rack. She hung her coat on an available hook, and then went to look for Jihyun. She had a smile on her face at the sight of some of the kids rehearsing. She snuck up behind her sister, throwing Jihyun a surprise back hug.
She was holding a food pack in each hand, having just pulled it out of one of the boxes Yoo and the staff brought in when someone attacked her from behind. A quick glance behind confirmed that it was Mina, and Jihyun squealed softly upon recognizing her sister's presence. "Yay, you're here!" she exclaimed, putting the food packs down on the table in front of her, and turning around to hug Mina. She was quick to look around though, as if she were trying to spot someone in the crowd.
"Yes, I am!" She grinned as Jihyun turned around to hug her too. "I had to pick a few things up before I went here." She noticed Jihyun looking around. "Hm? What's the matter?" She tilted her head slightly, watching Jihyun's face. "Are you looking for something?"
