Yes, THANK YOU! I was just ranting about this on facebook. I mean, REALLY, PETER??? I think Walter knows, though. Did you see how he was looking at her at the beginning when he was on the LSD? I bet you anything he saw her 'halo'. You've gotta get the earlier epis, though, cause you will go NUTSO after them;)

I really really hate the fact right now that my computer refuses to download television shows. Because I want to know so bad just what the hell is going through Peter's head right now - I mean, he knows that there have been a ton of changes and he knows that he's been making excuses for them -- so why is he not making the connection. At the very least, he should wonder if she isn't a shapeshifter! But he isn't making the connection! GAH!

I wonder if Walter does know - because if he does know that she isn't our Olivia, then why is he not trying to get back our Olivia? OOOHHHH! Unless, instead of faux!Olivia seducing Peter for information, Peter is really seducing faux!Olivia! :D
I like this new pet theory of mine, I really do.

It could be like the whole T:TSCC thing. You never knew until the end that John Conner *knew* that Riley was from the future. Yeah, let's go with that. Otherwise I might have to kill Peter for his absolute stupidity...

I have ranted so much on this subject that I just about ranted out. However, since I'm here....*rubs hands together*

The man has an IQ of 190. One-hundred and ninety!!! The only person on this show smarter than Peter is Walter, and Walter's IQ is only two points higher! *chokes the writers to death* These men are not dummies! They KNOW there's an entire universe of people just like them!!

My only hope and prayer is that you are right and Peter has known all this time. Perhaps he is using her to figure out how to bring our Olivia back to this side. He's been working with Walter and Broyles the entire time! That's it. AND he knows that eventually, when they do make the switcheroo, that Olivia's mass will need to be replaced with Fauxlivia's. See. It all makes sense now. I feel better.

Hooray for rants! They're good for the soul. :D

Yes! Peter and Walter are brilliant men - the smartest men on the show. And while Walter tends to channel all of his energy into science, Peter has shown himself really capable of detective work, most likely due to his experience as a con man. But at the end of the day - Peter is smart, he knows that there are shapeshifters out there, not to mention the whole other universe so it doesn't make sense that he's not making the connection.

Perhaps we'll end up seeing more of the hard side of Peter that we've only gotten glimpses of so far. I think he would be capable of manipulating Fauxlivia into thinking that she's accomplished her mission only to stab her in the back. Oh - that would be a really, really juicy scene when it crumbles all around Fauxlivia when she realizes that he knew all along. HEE. >D

If that is the way it shakes out, I will send all the writers on the show a big box of chocolates, because that would be utterly brilliant. Peter IS a con-man! He's a freakin' genius. He would have known within two shakes of a lamb's tail that this chick was as faux as faux can be.

I have convinced myself this is, in fact, what's going to happen. If for no other reason than to save myself from sending nasty-grams to Fox.

Thank you. I truly do feel much better now. Heehee.

I will chip in for that box of chocolates if that does play out like we want it too - maybe add in a card.

Man, I really really want our theory to be right - otherwise, the fallout when Olivia does return is just going to be so horrible.

Sometimes my rants are way too much fun and I have to force myself to stop before I get too carried away. All I know is that right now, if Peter were to eat bacon, things would be thrown and there would be much shouting about how he doesn't deserve any.

Ugh. I haven't been watching Fringe this season. I only have a limited amount of time to allocate to TV watching and the whole stupid "Fauxlivia" nonsense just doesn't interest me at all.

And yes, this was done to death already on Alias. Oh, and also on Fringe with Charlie. *rollseyes*

Apparently around midseason our Olivia is supposed to be coming back (and not a moment too soon), so there's that to look forward to at least, but I'm not looking to the fallout. That would just be so incredibly hard to bear - to know that the guy you loved slept with an alternate you who was just different enough that he should have known she wasn't you.

The only time a situation like that was handled perfectly was in Farscape and there - the writers made a point at the beginning of saying that the two John Crichton's were the same man initially. It was only after they separated and went on their own separate journeys that they developed into two different individuals. Here though, Peter should realize that this Olivia isn't his - especially now that he's acknowledged both the changes and the fact that he's been making excuses for them.

At least on the plus side - we have Charlie back! :D (So to speak).

Agreed on all parta!! And the worst part is that, Peter is supposed to have an IQ of a genius (180 or sth)!! But most of the time, he is just your avarage dense hero and in this case, he is dumb. ugh, I am not amused >_

I'm really hoping that this is all some sort of master plan of his and that he's actually getting information from fauxlivia instead of the other way around. Ah well, we shall see if our faith in Peter will be restored - otherwise I'm going to need a new tv boyfriend.
