Don't you seriously want your heart eaten?

Diana Wynne Jones died last Saturday.

It's funny how even though you've never actually met, one person can change your life in so many ways and give you new dreams. She'll be sorely missed.

I'd heard. Just in the past couple days, actually.

I feel like a re-read of "Howl's Moving Castle" is in order for me as soon as I finish the book I'm currently working on.

God bless and godspeed, Diana. Enjoy that castle of dreams you're surely moving into right now.

I found out by accident when I was taking a break from one of my many projects.

You interested in doing a re-read together like we did with Madeline L'Engle? Afterwards, we could watch the movie and have a big ol'discussion post like with Inception (which I will be replying to soon as your new theory requires much discussion).

I wonder if it's going to be that much harder to get a hold of her books now.

Pretty heartbreaking, huh?

I'd be very interested. When would you like to begin? We can start ASAP, or we can hold off and do it once you're finished classes. The whole thing feels like a fitting eulogy for her.

(I look forward to more 'Inception' discussion. I swear, that movie wrecks my brain...and I totally am going to end up watching it tonight or tomorrow morning. Sigh.)

Either that, or they're going to become more available; as tacky as it sounds, death sells. We'll see.

If you wouldn't mind waiting until after I'm finished classes, that would be great. Maybe this weekend? Reading her books in between studying would be a great way to de-stress.

(I'll probably get the next email out to you on Friday. That's pretty much the earliest I can do it right now. *BIG SIGH* I hate school.)

I certainly do hope that they become more available. She was one of those great authors and even her less popular books were gems. Hexwood blew my mind as did Fire & Hemlock. And I pretty much have a crush on all of her male characters.
