Ah! Love Erin! I love the details of the bloodlust the surviving Isis men carry because of the Reaver 'virus' and how Erin uses it to control his fear. And I always, always love to see River and Jayne and their relationship through a third party's eyes. Oh, and I am truly hoping I read that right and that Radiant actually killed Vera. Cause that is just fuckawesome right there. Cause that Vera is a bitch. And I completely understand exactly why River hates that gun.

Yay! I'm so glad you like Erin (as well as the bloodlust). He's a lot of fun to write, plus it was nice to write about River and Jayne through the eyes of someone who knows Jayne really well and understands his motivations. Plus, Erin wouldn't be able to find the land of denial even if he had a map - Jayne's in love and Erin is going to tease him mercilessly the next time they meet.

Radiant didn't so much as kill Vera as she said good riddance when she found out that the girl who'd played around with Jayne's heart for years was killed in the Reaver attack. Ma Cobb feels that Vera got what she deserved in the end. Ma Cobb, as you've no doubt guessed, carries some very big grudges.

*sigh happily* OMG! I love the "outside" look into Jayne's feeling for River. Just....OMG! Can't hardly wait for some more Rayne interaction!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed Erin's blunt view on Jayne and his feelings for his lady love. ;) Let's see Jayne try to deny his love now.

And expect to see the Rayne loving next chapter when we return to Serenity and realize that everyone on the ship thinks that the tickle fight from last chapter was actually Jayne and River consummating their relationship! Oh, and I'll try to fit some plot in there too. ;D

Well, tickle fights are fun and all, but not as fun as actual consummation would be....;)

It's kind of funny - Jayne and River are still stuck in the denial stage and everyone else is "you don't have to hide it any more. We know you are sexing and while we don't approve, we promise not to space Jayne." :D

I've always enjoyed a third person perspective in a story, and Erin is the perfect person to give us that perspective. I absolutely love how he scares people by smiling at them. It's so Jayne.

I am so looking forward to Erin meeting River. He thinks the little lady needs saving. Now, while she does occasionally need assistance in her endeavors, I doubt there is another human being in the 'verse, save Jayne, that needs saving less than River Tam.

My favorite part of this chapter: Erin being so delighted at the memory of Vera being so wonderfully wrong about Jayne.

What I love so much about this story, as I've told you before, is that it's woven so well into canon (to a point) that it's created its very own canon. It's a creature unto itself. A wonderful, beautiful creature that flows and makes the reader laugh, cry, and want more. Thank you so very much for the update. Congrats on finishing school. Most of all, thank you for your interpretation of Jayne Cobb, River Tam, and all of their friends and family.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this chapter. I was a bit nervous as it's been so long since I last had anything to post and because this chapter focuses mainly on plot and not enough on Jayne and River. :S But that should be remedied in the next chapter.

I think that Erin will quickly lose the idea that River needs rescuing after she beats him up. That should probably do the trick. ;) Although, I have to admit that I'm curious to know what his reaction will be when he hears River call Jayne her dragon.

Thank you again for your lovely compliments. I never know quite how to express my gratitude, but I hope that I continue to meet and hopefully, surpass your expectations in the future for this story and for both Jayne and River. <3
