I love this!! Its so sad and so beautiful and reminds me of another thing Ros and Jo had in common - Adam.
"He was always going to die" - Ros says this in 7.1/ 7.2 to someone else - Harry I think from memory. So true - he might have had nine lives but everyone must have known that sooner or later he would come to the end of them.
And "you're not a Bond Girl" that is so much something Ros would say. Oh and Adam kissing Jo - I did always wonder what went on between then because there was quite a bit of flirting series 4 and then after that nothing romantically but whenever Jo went out to do stuff it was usually with Adam so I kind of wondered what went on in quite periods. I can completely see Adam kissing her but drawing the line at anything further due to their cute big brother/ sister type relationship. And him telling Jo he was in love with Ros - because really who else would he have to tell that kind of stuff to?
Jo and Adam's friendship was one of the few redeeming features of series 6 for me, for me they had this Lost In Translation-esque connection you don't see on screen very often.
This is really wonderful. You've written both Ros and Jo wonderfully, which isn't easy to do!
If she closes her eyes she could almost believe that it’s him, not Jo, swaying gently next to her. So she doesn’t close her eyes. This line is just so perfect.

This is perfect. I love Ros not crying and I love the quiet way you've handled Adam's death and oh, I miss Jo terribly.
MORE PLS.

There will be more, I'm halfway through a series 4 Jo/Adam fic, because it's not like I have to write half a dozen essays this week.

Looking forward to the next one!

Sigh. But this is written so nicely, and you've said it all so perfectly, and now I actually miss Adam too.
