I love how people think that anything speaking against the war in Iraq must be labeled "liberal", like it's a disease, or something to be ashamed of.

I don't think it's right that our people are dying like flies in some backwater country, when we have enough problems in this one. Of course I'm not saying that Saddam was some wonderful great leader (he was a horrible person), but if the Iraqis really wanted to get rid of him, they could've grown a pair and done it themselves, without our help.

That said, I'm proud of everyone who went over there to help out those poor people. They didn't have to join the military, they made the decision of their own volition. I love our military, I love what they do, I just don't love the fact that there are real people dying every day when they're just trying to help.

Hello, you don't know me, but WORD to your mini rant-- this line especially:

no one is criticizing you guys for the good things you're doing, we are criticizing the president and Powers That Be for putting you there in the first place-- not because it isn't a noble cause, but because it was done without support, for the wrong reasons
