Thanks, that helps alot. Pretty much all the people around here that voice their opinion are registered Replicans, and I would probably be a registered Demacrat if I didnt think putting labels on that sort of thing is hella stupid.

But yeah thanks again...

I don't think pulling troops out of Iraq will automatically brand us as having "lost the war". It'd show that we care enough about our armed services to get them out of a bad situation before it can get any worse.

I think the main reason the Middle-Easterners are so pissed at us is because we keep poking our noses into their business, trying to influence them one way or another. We backed the formation of Israel, royally pissing off the Palestinians and their immediate neighbors. It's not that they want EVERYONE to be Muslim...Saddam Hussein, for all his evilness, had a Christian in his inner circle. I think most of them really do want to live in peace...it's just the renegades giving all the peaceful members of society a bad name. If the Israelis had come into Palestine, and peacefully integrated with them instead of forcefully taking over their country, I doubt we'd've had all the problems we see today.

That's just my take on it though.

Stay safe,
Jess

Pulling out our troops is the easiest way to create a civil war in Iraq that can spill over to the rest of the regions unstable regimes

Well, since we know they don't have WMD, pull out and let them kill each other. I don't care. I just don't want any more of our people to die over there needlessly.

the war in Iraq isn't a strike against him, in fact that makes him a better president. Its really too bad that so many people cant see the big picture of this war, they just sit there and whine about the small aspects.

"Does continued violence and death occuring every day make Bush a better president?"

No, but does locals holding up signs saying "I love Bush" (hopefully our president although the other isnt too bad as well :p~) at our helicopters flying around, make him such a bad president?

Although you do realize that I will back our current president up, as well as our next one, and the one after that, since I did, after all, swear to it.

So I guess Im probably not very good to debate with, since I really dont have true Fredom of Speach.

With that being said, GET OFF LJ AND GET ONTO YAHOO MESSAGER IM ON RIGHT NOW DANGIT!!

"act with our allies at our side"

Now this I have a little trouble with... Now we have: Solders from Albania, Korea, India Contractors from Iraq, Pakistan, We did have the French here, oh yeah a Russian plane delivers our mail. And that's just at this location, I'm not talking all the bases that are set up throughout Iraq.

I could be wrong but it seems that we have "allies at our side." How many more countries do we need here in order to fit that statement?

95% of troops and 90% of deaths in iraq are from the US.

That is the way it is and the way it will always be. Tally up the Gulf War, Veit Nam war, WWII, and pretty much any other major conflict we have been involved with and Im pretty damn sure you will come up with the about the same percentage. Oh and your 90% is wrong, there are far more Iraqi's being killed by us and themselfs then US solders.

Im sorry to say but everyone over there, the US that is, who are not in the military are privy to most of the information we are...

Well.... smaug195 September 4 2004, 11:59:49 UTC
90% of coalition deaths is what I meant, and vietnam is a bad example, that was just us. In the Gulf War the casualties were 50/50, in WW2, we had 3%... of what the soviet union had. Yugoslavia had more people die then us.
