and so, the odd one rambles..

ive come to the conclusion that im odd.... ive been odd for sometime; but this weekend ive been feeling particularly odd. it started with the usual desire to read (due to a lack of book and a phantom obsession;that desire consists mostly of phanfic these days) and the not-altogether-bad revival of tender nostalgia. i also felt so inclined as to ( Read more... )

Hey, I hope you dont mind me reading/responding to your blog, but you responded to Geoff's and then I was trying to figure out a way of getting out of doing my economics hw, and this seemed like the best way as everyone else hasn't updated their blogs in forever and it's rather boring. ANYWAYS, I just wanted to say that I am exactly like you, especially when I actually have time to be, like during the summer. For example, I know all the words to a song from The Little Mermaid and, unfortunately for everyone else, am liable to randomly start singing it. I also love to read and always have. It is a great escape, not that I particularily have anything to escape from, but I think that escaping from the monotony of homework and boring days is enough. And I'm right there with you on the whole fairy-tale, epic love and symbolic magical transformation thing, so dont worry, at least you're not odd alone. Now, I'm pretty sure it's no great relief to be like me, but never the less, I felt like sharing.

hahaha well thanks for sharing nikki; nice to know im not alone out there ;)... you look like the little-mermaider type ;) haha personally, im most inclined to know lion king and beauty and the beast songs, but lately ive been listening to a lot more little mermaid..(haha well lately... meaning; the past few hours in this several-day long disney-phase)... they're all such wonderful stories; i hope they keep the child/dreamer in me alive for years..=D... lol; econ hw.. sometimes i wonder why we even bother; its not like she hands things back (i.e. the micro commentaries being... where exactly?)... i dont mind at all with you commenting or anyone else for that matter; i write knowing that anyone could come across it; and inviting them to ;) anyway; good luck with the econ and the monotony of our every day world; cya at school =D

I know exactly what you mean! I love singing the little mermaid....actually....not really....but anyways. Disney movies are great and I wish that my parents kept more of them instead of giving them away. Reading is also great! I love to read but I never end up doing it during the school year because there's too much to do/too many distractions/I'm not good enough at time management. I used to read at school in grade 9 but then teachers started getting mad so I gave up on that idea. I love reading in the summer though. I read so much then.
