Friday night: anniversary dinner with DP-first couple evening in at least 10 months (maybe longer)! Very nice. Saturday: Girls’ Day Out with friends: scenic driving, pub lunch, browsing in shops, talking and laughing. Sunday: lots and lots of chores. Only eight items left on the Great Big To-Do List!

After spending part or all of the previous two weekends single parenting, I was very grateful not to be doing it again. So I come home one afternoon last week to find an agitated message from my mother, saying she's received a very alarming letter addressed to me from the state Office of Jury Commissioners.
