First show of the year! The Broken Family Band playing the Winter Sprinter at the Water Rats. They played two sets due to Fonda 500 pulling out - errr a slow set and then a rawk set later on. Miserable flight from Seattle. Got a middle seat and people either side were asleep for most of the journey - the guy to my left with his table down too. Couldn't get comfy for sleep.

A really horrible day saying goodbyes. Not much more to say really...

Seattle this week has been amazing. My friend has been really looking after me. Her friends have been driving us around the city (the public transport is a real pain to get from one district to another).

We saw a Muppets tribute band last night! (The Dead Hensons) They were great, doing songs from the tv show, movies and spin-offs.

Cristin takes me to meet her friends at Washington Zoo...where we see the Violent Femmes supported by Colin Meloy from the Decemberists. It's part of the ace Zoo Tunes series. It's an early gig and sold out with mostly with 30s/40 somethings with with kids in tow. Several odd baby tossing competitions take place throughout the gig ( Read more... )

Last night turned out to be a long one...Went to Sean's Beat Motel club at Push. Was good. Jon was going to explain his complicated method of skipping the train fare from Brighton.
