Scotty isn't exactly sure what's he's most confused by: the fact that he wound up in a town/world/time that he has no idea what or where or when he is... or that this food is so unbelievably delicious. He's set himself up with a hot mug of cider, a blanket wrapped wound him, and a plate of what he thinks is yakisoba. He liked it before but what was in the recipe here? And it wasn't exactly the kind of food he expected at a Christmas party. He tries to think about the food and the warmth from the space heater he's sitting next to in his surprisingly comfortable chair and not why his communicator also refuses to work. Just until he's fed and warmed up. He had walked through a lot of woods rather aimlessly until spotting the lights of the town. In the snow. It was most unpleasant.

"I don't think you're meant to be sitting alone in the cold at a Christmas party," Blaine walks by with a smile on his way to get a cup of cider for himself before he circles back to the stranger. "May I join you?"

Scotty merely glances to the kid as he passes by, not sure if he thinks he's being funny or not. Once Blaine asks to join him, however, he decides maybe he misjudged.

"It's a free planet... I think." Scotty moves the safety of the warm blanket aside to reach for a nearby chair, noisily dragging it closer to Blaine. He huddles back up, and it's obvious someone didn't come prepared for this weather. "Name's Scotty." He doesn't offer a hand to shake. Too bloody cold.

Blaine laughs and shrugs, taking the seat with a smile. "I haven't been here nearly long enough to know what the rules of being a free planet or not would be, but back home Christmas parties were for being with friends and meeting new people." And Blaine is babbling. Whoops. "Nice to meet you, Scotty, I'm Blaine. Have you been in town long?"

Alonso walks over from the apartment, wondering what it is Turlough had been up to all day. He's dressed in a thick green sweater and grey scarf, with a few days stubble because really it had been too cold to bother shaving. When he reached the center of town and saw what Turlough had set up, he smiled brightly and waved at a few of the people he recognized. He'd felt bad in recent weeks because he'd forgotten the Earth holiday that he'd gotten used to celebrating in the Nexus, but since he'd worked straight through the holiday anyway he hardly realized it had passed until a few days ago. Smiling still, he makes his way through the party in search of Turlough and anyone else he knows.

"Merry Christmas," Turlough smiles to Alonso, seeing him walk his way. He greets him with a kiss and thrusts a mug of warm tea in Alonso's hands. "Trion was built on a firm belief in tradition. So I guess it's in my nature to keep certain traditions alive." He smiles a little and shrugs. "And we've both been so busy... I thought this would be a nice surprise for you."

Alonso's smile is bright and happy when Turlough greets him with a kiss and tea, and one arm slips around his partner's waist to keep him close (because it's cold in the town square and all). "Merry Christmas, Turlough." And he kisses him on the cheek because he can. "I'm sorry I forgot about Christmas... you've done a wonderful job out here and now I feel like a jerk for forgetting."

Turlough shakes his head, his nose and ears red from the cold but considerably warmer with Alonso pressed against him. "It doesn't seem to be recognized here, so I don't think we're on Earth. At least not any time period close to the last time I was there."

Excalibur is enjoying herself in the snow, her blue dress much more traditional styled than the fashions she usually wore in town. Wrapped around her shoulders was a fur wrap to match the lining of her dress. Christmas wasn't anything she had celebrated until she arrived in the Nexus, but she was happy to have the chance to see her friends out and about again.
